| Brandi
flew in from Florida on her annual trip to see her Godmother, Robin. She
loves to camp so we took her to Maebur Top, and she loved it! We hiked in
up the SW Property Line and then all around the land, even to Coleman Gap,
but her favorite pastime was helping clear the Sunset Camp. I wanted to
trim back some trees that I didn't want to cut, and she ascended them with
the clippers like a monkey with a mission! Boy did she have fun. It was from here I had dreamed of an easier trail down to the creek, and so the morning we left I scouted it out, and we discovered the "Chute". I cleared the way down and this was to become the new "Cove Trail". I told Robin it couldn't have been more perfect! Perfect it was for a Florida Girl, cooking smores over an open fire on a cool starlit night and dreaming of a time she will come to visit us here instead of in Asheville. |
